I watched Sicko last night for the first time. Yes, I admit, it's been three years since it's release and I should have sat down and watched it long before this, but that's besides the point. I was appalled at the things I was seeing. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts and opinions are on our healthcare in this country. Should it remain the same? Or do we deserve something better?
When I turn on the t.v these days, I can't help but catch some type of reality show. No one these days is shy or conservative about anything. Everyone is willing to have a camera follow them around. Whether it's a family with eight children, or Daisy from Rock of Love or whoever else is looking for love on t.v. with their fourth or fifth dating show, I find myself watching with intrigue. But also disgust because I know how ridiculous reality t.v. has become. "Back in the day" when MTV first aired The Real World, it was vastly different from the way it is now. Those people were genuinely concerned about the world seeing too much. Now having sex on camera, flashing the camera, and even drinking and doing drugs on camera has become common place. I suppose it's all about fame and fortune, witch is understandable in a way, but is the dignity that the human race once had on it's way out, or is it already gone?
